I keep pricing simple and honest. Everything is time-based, and every job is done the same way: carefully, step by step, with documentation of what I found and what I fixed.
This page explains the rates, how scheduling works, and what you can expect from the process.
Hourly Rate
My rate is $100 per hour.
This applies to everything:
diagnostics
wiring repairs
troubleshooting
custom harness work
MotoGadget installs
electrical cleanup
unsolved jobs from other shops
There is a one-hour minimum for all appointments.
I don’t offer flat-rate quotes, electrical work is rarely “just one thing,” and guessing a price forces shortcuts. I’m not interested in that.
Diagnostics
Diagnostics are billed at the same $100/hr rate.
I test systems properly instead of guessing, and I document what I find with notes or photos. You’ll know exactly what failed, why it failed, and what your options are.
After diagnostics, you decide whether to move forward with the repair or rebuild.
Project Scope
-
Focused issues like:
dead circuits
bad switches
blown-fuse loops
charging problems
intermittent electrical faults
If you’re not sure where power is going (or not going), that’s what I do.
-
I also take on:
complete rewires
MotoGadget conversions
full custom harness design
total electrical system cleanup
These are the projects where methodical work pays off the most
-
ECU tuning
General mechanical work
Simple battery swaps (unless part of a larger job)
I stay focused on wiring, power distribution, relays, controls, and signal integrity.
Mobile / On-Site Work
Most work happens in my shop, that’s where the tools, test equipment, and parts are.
In rare cases, I can come to you.
Because on-site work takes me away from the shop and requires packing equipment:
Mobile rate: $300 per hour, one-hour minimum.
Bringing the bike to me is always the better option.
Parts & Materials
For most jobs, I source the correct wire, connectors, relays, housings, and protection.
I only use parts that are safe, rated correctly, and reliable.
If you supply parts, I’ll inspect them first.
If they’re poor quality or unsafe, I won’t install them.
Billing & Payments
For quick jobs: payment is due at completion.
For larger projects, payment is broken into three stages:
one-third when work begins
one-third during the build
final third at completion
This keeps the project moving smoothly with no surprises.
What to Expect
Electrical work is honest, but not always predictable.
Sometimes the fix is exactly what we thought. Sometimes we open the loom and find years of “repairs” fighting each other.
You’ll be updated as I go. You’ll know what I’m seeing, why I’m doing what I’m doing, and what it’ll take to make the bike reliable — not just running.
